Wire EDM Machining

ZYCI offers high precision 4-axis Wire EDM machining, aslo known as Electrical Discharge Machining.  We utilize Seibu Wire EDM machines built in Japan that are capable of holding a +/- 2 micron tolerance and producing very good surface finishes.

The 4-axis control of the wire allows us to cut tapers and swarfing walls.  The X and Y axes control the wire that bottom and the U and V axes control the wire at the top and can work independently.  For example, the top of the wire could be cutting a circle and the bottom could be cutting a sqaure.

Wire EDM works for machining any conductive metal regadless of the hardness of the metal.
